How to Attend an Outdoor Concert
Outdoor concerts are an entirely different beast than your normal concert venues. You must consider the weather and informal seating arrangements before buying your tickets. To maximize your enjoyment of outdoor shows, just follow these directions.

1
Get your tickets early. Concerts in any venue tend to sell out quickly. Since some outdoor venues don't have formal seating, it doesn't matter what row you sit in. However, some shows do have formal seating plans. Investigate these options when buying your tickets.
-
2
Find out about food. Many outdoor shows will have established vendors of food and drink. They may not permit you to bring your own refreshments. Some shows do have relaxed refreshment rules but won't allow you to bring glass bottles or cutlery into the site. Ask about restrictions before leaving for the venue.

Check the weather report. Remember, you're outside. There's no roof, no heating, no air conditioning. Be sure that you are going to be comfortable.
-
4
Watch your behind. Seating is not always provided. You may want to pack camp chairs or a large blanket to sit on.
