How to Create a Program List with the Sony DVP-CX985V CD/DVD Player

With the Sony DVP-CX985V CD/DVD player, you can play the items or tracks of one or more disks in any order. You can also rearrange the synchronization of the tracks to create a new program list. The player has enough capacity to program 99 items or tracks. Follow these steps to create your program list.

Step1

Press the Display or File button twice to start the process. The Control menu will appear.

Step2

Select the Program option using the arrow keys. Press "Enter" to proceed.

Step3

Choose "Set->," then press "Enter." The program list will appear.

Step4

Press the right arrow key to go to the first disk. Select any disk by pressing the ↑/↓ keys. Press "Enter." The pointer will move to the right-hand column identified as "T."

Step5

Select the track, title or chapter you want to program from the T column by pressing the number button or arrow keys. For example, use the ↑/↓ keys or number button to select title ‘'02'’. Now press "Enter."

Step6

Follow the same procedure in step 4 to select tracks from other disks. Press "Play" to start. You can restart the program by pressing "Play" after it stops.

Step7

Return to normal play mode by pressing "Clear" or "Off" from the menu, which appeared in step 3.

Step8

Continuously press the "Display/File" button until it turns off (optional).

Tips & Warnings

You can change or cancel the program list you created by selecting the program numbers from the program’s menu.
To cancel the entire program list, press the "All Clear" button from Program Play. Then press "Enter" to confirm it.
To activate Repeat Play, follow the appropriate steps during Program Play.
Press the "Display/File" option once if you use data CDs.
