A ceiling fan with a light can bring a level of comfort to a room without sacrificing your lighting. One of the first steps is to remove the old fan.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Turn off the power to the area in which you are working.

  2. Step 2

    Remove the cap from the existing fan, and detach the mounting base from the workbox. Use a power screwdriver for this task.
