How to Defeat the Cult Leader in Dead Rising

The leader of the Raincoat Cult is one of the more dangerous psychos you'll encounter in Dead Rising. Not only is he fast and ruthless, he carries a large sword with a sharp edge. He is also surrounded by a horde of his cultists before and after the clash. Also, he has four survivors tied up. Be careful where you swing. This will be a tough fight!

Instructions

1. Bring the mini chainsaws. For this fight the chainsaws are a virtual necessity. No other weapon will work as well. If you feel like a challenge, bring shotguns or the heavy machine gun and the katana. The heavy machine gun is found on the back of the convict's jeep, while the shotguns can be found in the gun shop in North Plaza and the katana can be found on the awning outside Columbian Roastmasters in Paradise Plaza, in a store in North Plaza or in the antique store in the Entrance Plaza.

2. Bring two or three bottles of wine or OJ.

3. Go to the movie theater in Paradise Plaza.

4. Use the shotguns or a mini chainsaw on the cultist horde outside Theater 3. Leave none alive!

5. Head inside and watch the video. This is where things get tricky. You cannot use shotguns with the boss because you might hit a survivor. The heavy machine gun is a viable option, but the leader is fast, and may lead your gunfire towards the survivors. The katana your best option, but it requires you to get close to the leader.

6. Charge the cult leader with a mini chainsaw or katana in hand. Use hit-and-run tactics to bring him down a hit at a time.

7. Be careful of the leader's sword. The sword will keep you down for a few seconds, and he won't hesitate to hit you while you're down. Use the double-tap dodge to get out of the way before he hits you.

8. Keep slashing until the leader dies. Watch the video to view some divine retribution.

9. It's not over yet! After the psycho cult leader dies, you must deal with a horde of his cultists. Grab his sword or ready your mini chainsaw and start hacking. These cultists are the last of his crazy followers, so relish their defeat.

10. Let the four survivors go by moving behind their seats and pressing 'X', then head out. You will encounter several police zombies. Hack them and give their guns to the survivors.
