Things You'll Need:
- Transportation
- Tickets
-
Step 1
Limit the amount of money you carry with you to the outdoor concert to the bare necessities. You can delay purchases, such as T-shirts and CDs, until after the show.
-
Step 2
Plan on parking costs before you go to the outdoor concert. Nothing cuts into the fun more than having a chunk of your budget taken out by parking.
-
Step 3
Find the rest rooms before you need them. The same goes for other amenities, such as food and drink stands, if present.
-
Step 4
Come early and stake out a spot if the event has festival seating. Bring in a chair and go with a group so you can lay claim to a good place to watch the concert.
-
Step 5
Drink lots of water, especially if the concert is in the hot months of July, August and September. Although the average high for these months is only around 83 degrees F, record highs are all above 100 degrees F.
-
Step 6
Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen, and limit your sun exposure. If you have sensitive skin, consider purchasing a shade tent to keep your time in the sun to a minimum.
