Instructions

Step 1

Search online or call the tourism office to obtain information on musical events on the Yucatan (see Resources below). Every Tuesday night there is live music and dancing at a park in Merida, and bands play on Saturday at another park.
Step 2

Decide the best time for you to go--summers are torrid in this region; winter is the best time, during Carnival.
Step 3

Get information about tickets. For most events you won't need them, but check online or call the tourism office for detailed information regarding tickets.
Step 4

Prepare for your trip. If you are traveling outside your country, you will need a passport. Pack summer clothes.
