Montreal, Quebec, is a year-round center for a diverse range of music. In July the city hosts the largest French-speaking cultural event in the world, the Festival d'Ete. Here's how to hear music outdoors this summer in Montreal.

  1. Step 1

    Find out what Montreal offers in music during the summer by going online or calling the tourism office (see Resources below).The Festival d'Ete International runs for ten days in the middle of July.

  2. Step 2

    Pick the best concert for you. Consider the dates available, the band or style of music and your own tastes, then clear your schedule for the event.

  3. Step 3

    Gather ticket information. Find out if you need to purchase tickets in advance or if they are required.

  4. Step 4

    Be prepared. A passport is now required for US citizens visiting Canada. Also, investigate the weather for your trip before you pack.
