Use Dryer Sheets Around the Home
Use Dryer Sheets Around the Home

Dryer sheets--they're not just for the dryer any more! Who knew such a small item could have so many uses...

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a box o' dryer sheets
  1. Step 1

Put a sheet into smelly shoes and let them de-smell over night. Same with a suitcase or gym bag.

  2. Step 2

Wipe off TV screens and computer monitors with them--static and dust be gone!

  3. Step 3

Put one in the bottom of your dresser drawer for fresh-smelling clothes.

  4. Step 4

Place a sheet in a dirty pan, fill with lukewarm water and let it soak overnight. The pan will clean much more easily.

  5. Step 5

Stick one in the pages of some books you're storing in a box in the garage--it helps keep away the musty smell.

  6. Step 6

Use it to wipe up sawdust after doing some woodworking.

  7. Step 7

Swipe the blinds with a dryer sheet--the fast way is to close the blinds first and then wipe downwards with the sheet.

  8. Step 8

And I heard this tip from my usual world of hiking: place one on top of your head and under your baseball cap to keep mosquitoes at bay (when you don't want or can't put DEET on your hair!).
