Tips & Warnings
Practice your interviewing skills with a friend or relative. It is a good idea to take these practice sessions seriously and even dress the part. You do not want to appear at your interview to find that your new, professional looking suit is uncomfortable or the slacks are to short.
Hair is an issue in food service. Show the employer that you are comfortable wearing longer hair up by showing up for the interview with it nicely groomed and off the shoulders and neck.
Restaurant work of any kind can be taxing. It is often slow for most of your shift and you will use this time for the boring tasks of cleaning and stocking. Some shops will draft all the employees to wrap silver during slow periods. Suddenly you find that you barely have a second to remember to breath.
