Things You'll Need:
- Rose Champagne
- Strawberries, whipped cream
- Small gift bag
- X-Rated liqueur, cocktails
- Cosmo Kama Sutra flip book
- Blindfold
- Cognac
- Temporary tattoos
- Yarn or string
-
Step 1
The lead up: IM or text your honey throughout the day to get 'em primed for the evening.
-
Step 2
The welcome home: Hang a small gift bag (or sign) on the door knob. The sign or note in the bag should read: “When you walk through the door, put on this blindfold. Then open your mouth and close your eyes and you will get a big surprise.” Feed your sweetheart strawberries with whipped cream then untie the blindfold so he or she can see you in the sweet Valentine’s Day outfit you are wearing. Take a sip of rose champagne together right there at the front door. Hand him (or her) an outfit for the evening inside along with a note to meet you in the dining room. (Even if it’s something your honey already owns, like boxers or a robe, it doesn't matter--it’s all about the intrigue).
-
Step 3
The meal: It’s in the progressive style (so you have a reason to keep moving room to room eventually making your way to the bedroom for dessert)–each nibble in a different room of the house. You don’t want anything heavy, just snacks with cocktails to match. Here is a quick run down of what the flow of the night should be like:
• Dining room: Start with finger food hors d'oeuvres. Serve X-Rated Vodka Cocktails.
• Living room (set up on the floor with rug and pillows): Serve a light meal with wine and Love Potion #69 from Galco’s Soda Pop Stop–a sparkling bottled drink that contains damiana, an herb known to be an aphrodisiac (see Resources, below).
• Bedroom: Make your way to the bedroom for dessert and cognac. Serve quick little bites that you can both feed to each other, include something chocolate since it’s conveniently an aphrodisiac. -
Step 4
Interaction: This is what the night is all about!
• Dining Room: Make cocktails for each other (put a little extra booty into it when shakin’ that martini). Pick up temporary tattoos (heart and kiss themed) for the two of you to apply on each other (maybe in places you will be kissing later).
• Living Room: Slow dancing and a gift exchange are classic gift ideas that are sure to add a little extra sparkle to the night. Tie the gifts with red string and hide them somewhere in the room. Run the string all over the room, then hand your sweetheart the ball of red string. Watch and wait as your honey follows the string around the room until he or she finds a gift. Here are a few gift ideas that you can easily grab at the last minute:
i. From Gap Product Red, a cashmere sweater with red cashmere string bikini, T-shirts that read "inspire(ed)," "ado(red)," and so on.
ii. Apple Product Red iPod–loaded with love songs to slow dance to. Sprint Product Red Razor Phone–the “HOT LINE” presented in a box filled with hot tamale candies.
iii. Erotic Writing Workshop at Writing Pad–love letters are always sweet but learning to write sexy short stories together is a better way to the sack.
iv. Get your love a digital camera. Give him or her a picture of a place in the house, then whisper to go search for the gift. Keep 'em searchin’ for a while by placing a trail of pictures in each new location eventually leading to the camera.
• Bedroom: Let the games begin! Truth or dare, strip poker, Cosmo Kama Sutra (flip to a page in the book, you have to initiate that position with your partner) and role playing outfit kits.
