Update your resume. Include any information about yourself that makes you a good candidate to work in the field you are applying to, such as interests, education and background.

Tips & Warnings
Prepare yourself for an interview, and for any questions the employer might ask about your previous experience, skills and interest.
If you send an application, follow up by calling and asking if the employer has received and reviewed it. If you get an interview, send a thank-you letter afterward.
If you have no previous experience in a particular field, you may need to offer to work as an unpaid intern so that you have experience the next time you apply.
