How to Record a Radio Broadcast to Cassette With the Panasonic RX-D29 Boombox

The Panasonic RX-D29 is portable boombox and makes an excellent home stereo. Not only can you listen to CDs, radio channels and audio cassettes, you can record radio broadcasts onto an audio cassette. Read on to learn how to record a radio broadcast to a cassette with the Panasonic RX-D29 Boombox.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cassette
  • Panasonic RX-D29
  1. Step 1

    Press the “Tape/Off” button on the boombox or remote control. This will turn the system on.

  2. Step 2

    Press the “Stop/Eject” button, located on top of the system, on the lower row of buttons.

  3. Step 3

    Place the audio cassette in the compartment with the side to be recorded facing out and the exposed tape facing up.

  4. Step 4

    Manually close the cassette compartment door.

  5. Step 5

    Press the “Tuner/Band-Auto Preset” button, located just below the CD door, second from the left. Toggle from AM to FM by pressing more than once.

  6. Step 6

    Press the “Tuning Search” buttons to cycle forward or backward through preset stations.

  7. Step 7

    Press the “Rec” button to being recording.

Tips & Warnings
  • The “Play” button will automatically depress when the “Rec” button is engaged.
  • To stop recording, press the “Stop/Eject” button.
  • To pause recording, press the “Pause” button, located on the far left of the second row of buttons.
  • You must manually eject and flip the cassette tape to record the other side.
