How to Use the Program Mode on the Coby MP-CD475 Portable Audio System

The programming feature on the Coby MP-CD475 is usually used in tandem with an audio CD or USB device. If you have an audio CD or USB flash drive with songs or tracks you’d like to play, in an order other than currently recorded, the programming mode will allow you to change the playback order, up to 20 tracks at a time. Read on to learn how to use the program mode on the Coby MP-CD475 Portable Audio System.

Things You'll Need:

  • USB Flash Drive, Thumb Drive or CD Containing Audio Files
  • Coby MP-CD475
  1. Step 1

    Use the "Program Mode" for a USB Device

  2. Step 2

    Switch the function button, located to the left of the CD door on top of the device, to “CD/MP3/USB.”

  3. Step 3

    Remove the cover from the USB flash drive, if applicable.

  4. Step 4

    Locate the USB port below the LCD display, on the front of the device.

  5. Step 5

    Insert the USB device into the port.

  6. Step 6

    Press the “Stop” button, located on the top of the system

  7. Step 7

    Press the “Prog” button once, so the LCD displays “P01.”

  8. Step 8

    Use the “Folder Up” and “Folder Down” buttons to cycle through the tracks. Tracks are shown on the LCD display.

  9. Step 9

    Press the “Prog” button to add a track to the playlist. Note that the LCD will now display “P02,” indicating that the next track selected will be in slot two of the program.

  10. Step 10

    Continue to select subsequent tracks by pressing the “Prog” button for up to twenty tracks.

  11. Step 11

    Press the “Play” button to start playback.

    Press the “Open/Close CD Door” button, located on top of system.

  15. Step 3

    Place the CD in the compartment with the play side down and graphic side up, with the hole of the CD centered on the turntable.

  16. Step 4

    Gently close the CD door.

  17. Step 5

    Press the “Stop” button, located on the top of the system.

  18. Step 6

    Press the “Prog” button once, so the LCD displays “P01.”

  19. Step 7

    Use the “Folder Up” and “Folder Down” buttons to cycle through the tracks. Tracks are shown on the LCD display.

  20. Step 8

    Press the “Prog” button to add a track to the playlist. Note that the LCD will now display “P02,” indicating that the next track selected will be in slot two of the program.

  21. Step 9

    Continue to select tracks by pressing the “Prog” button for up to twenty tracks.

  22. Step 10

    Press the “Play” button to start playback.

Tips & Warnings
  • To clear the program list open the CD door, press “Stop” twice or turn the system off.
