You will find seven campgrounds with 291 campsites at Denali National Park.

Each campground has a maximum stay of 14 days. However, if you plan to drive to Teklanika Campground, you may only stay three nights and you may not drive in and out of the park multiple times. So, make sure you have everything you need before taking the trip to Teklanika Campground.

Riley Creek is the only campground open year-round. The others are open from May or June until September.

The campgrounds either have pit or flush toilets.

All campgrounds accept reservations.

Some campgrounds permit RV's while others only allow tents.

You may only build a fire in the fire grates. Obtain firewood from the store near the Denail Park Hotel.

You may bring pets provided they remain leashed at all times. However, you may not bring pets on the trails or buses.

Quiet time is observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Checkout is at 11 a.m.

To prevent wildlife problems, always keep your camp clean. Wash dishes as soon as you are finished with them. Use foil when cooking on the fire grates. Keep and cook food away from the area where you will sleep. Store food in hard-sided vehicles and do not feed any animals.

To make reservations for Riley Creek, Savage, Teklanika, and Wonder Lake, call (800) 622-7275. You will be charged an additional $4 registration fee.

If the campground you choose does not allow personal vehicles or you do not bring a vehicle, you may take the camp bus. Plan on paying $18.50 for adults, $9.25 for 15- to 17-year olds and $0 for those 14 and under. You must reserve your seat on the bus when you make reservations for your campsite.
