How to Play Music From a USB Flash Drive on the Coby MP-CD475 Portable Audio System

The Coby MP-CD475 is a CD, USB and radio player. If you have a USB flash drive you can save audio files ranging from your favorite television show to a political speech to music tracks onto your USB flash drive and play them on your Coby system. Read on to play music from a USB flash drive on the Coby MP-CD475 Portable Audio System.

Things You'll Need:

  • USB Flash Drive or Thumb Drive Containing Audio Files
  • Coby MP-CD475

    Play an Audio Track From a USB Flash Drive

  1. Step 1

    Switch the function button, located to the left of the CD door on top of the device, to “CD/MP3/USB.”

  2. Step 2

    Remove the cover from the USB flash drive, if applicable.

  3. Step 3

    Locate the USB port below the LCD display, on the front of the device.

  4. Step 4

    Insert the USB device into the port.

  5. Step 5

    Press and hold the “Play” button until the LCD displays “USB.”

  6. Step 6

    Press the “Play” button to start playback.

  7. Search for Folders

  8. Step 1

    Since USB devices can hold hundreds of tracks, you may need to search for folders of tracks to listen to.

  9. Step 2

    Watch the LCD display, located on the front of the device, to see the name and number of tracks and folders on the USB device.

  10. Step 3

    Use the "Folder Up" and "Folder Down" buttons to navigate through folders.

  11. Step 4

    Press the “Play” button once you find the folder or track you wish to hear.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the "Pause" button to pause and resume playback.
