How to Record on a Cassette From the Radio of the JVC RV-NB1 Kaboom Series Boombox

The JVC RV-NB1 Kaboom Series Boombox has many great features. You can play MP3 discs in addition to other forms of audio media, use your boombox as an amplifier, record guitar and microphone mixings and use the timer functions to play music at pre-determined times. In addition to CDs and MP3 discs, you can play and record cassettes with the boombox. Read on to learn how to record a cassette from the radio of the JVC RV-NB1 Kaboom Series Boombox.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blank or Erasable Cassettes
  • JVC RV-NB1 Kaboom Series Boombox
  1. Step 1

    Open the cassette holder by turning the "Lock/Release" knob counterclockwise.

  2. Step 2

    Insert a blank or erasable cassette.

  3. Step 3

    Close the holder then turn the "Lock/Release" knob clockwise.

  4. Step 4

    Tune into the radio station you want to record.

  5. Step 5

    Press the "One Touch Rec" button on your boombox. The "Rec" indicator will light up to indicate the system is recording.

Tips & Warnings
  • Eliminate unwanted noise when recording AM stations by pressing the "Beat Cut" button.
  • Record on both sides of the tape by pressing "Reverse Mode" on the remote control until the correct display lights up. This will appear as two arrows facing opposite directions, one above the other.
  • When you insert a cassette into the JVC RV-NB1 Kaboom Series Boombox to record from a CD, make sure to match up the tape direction indicator correctly. If the direction indicator is forward, insert the tape so that the tape is fully rewound to the left (as you see it from the front). If the direction is reverse, the tape should be fully rewound to the right (as you see it from the front).
