How to Record Onto a Tape From the Radio on the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox

Things You’ll Need:

• A Blank Type I (Normal) Audio Cassette Tape
• Sony CFD-F10 Boombox

1. Press "Tape." The word "Tape" should appear on the display screen.
2. Press "Eject/Stop."
3. Insert the tape with the side on which you want to record facing up and toward you.
4. Select radio by pressing "Radio Band/Auto Preset."
5. Press "Radio Band/Auto Preset" repeatedly to choose FM radio or AM radio. Your selection will flash on the display screen.
6. Press and hold "Tune +" and "Tune -" to find your preferred radio station.
7. Press "Record."
8. Press "Eject/Stop" when you want to stop recording.

Tips & Warnings

• Check your tape before attempting to record to make sure that the safety tabs are not broken. If they are missing, replace with tape.
• Make sure the tape compartment is closed properly before starting to record.
• It is not recommended to use tapes that are longer than 90 minutes.
• Use only Type I (normal) audio cassette tapes.
• When you adjust the volume on the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox, you do not affect the volume of the recording.
• For the best quality, use AC power instead of batteries for recording.
