How to Record Onto a Tape From the Radio on the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox

Do you love listening to a favorite radio show and wish it was on all day? Do you regularly miss your favorite radio show because you have other obligations? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you're in luck--with the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox--it’s easy to record a tape from the radio. Read on to learn how to record onto a tape from the radio on the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A Blank Type I (Normal) Audio Cassette Tape
  • Sony CFD-F10 Boombox

Step1
Press "Tape." The word "Tape" should appear on the display screen.
Step2
Press "Eject/Stop."
Step3
Insert the tape with the side on which you want to record facing up and toward you.
Step4
Select radio by pressing "Radio Band/Auto Preset."
Step5
Press "Radio Band/Auto Preset" repeatedly to choose FM radio or AM radio. Your selection will flash on the display screen.
Step6
Press and hold "Tune +" and "Tune -" to find your preferred radio station.
Step7
Press "Record."
Step8
Press "Eject/Stop" when you want to stop recording.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check your tape before attempting to record to make sure that the safety tabs are not broken. If they are missing, replace with tape.
  • Make sure the tape compartment is closed properly before starting to record.
  • It is not recommended to use tapes that are longer than 90 minutes.
  • Use only Type I (normal) audio cassette tapes.
  • When you adjust the volume on the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox, you do not affect the volume of the recording.
  • For the best quality, use AC power instead of batteries for recording.
