The thought of buying a romantic gift can be intimidating for many people. A romantic gift can say many different things. In order to make sure your gift says what you intend it to say, follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
The first step is to determine what your partner finds to be romantic. Different people have different ideas about what constitutes a romantic gift. Although some people like the traditional roses and candlelit dinner, there are far more who find other things romantic. Very often, a busy mom will consider help around the house more romantic than anything bought at the store. Just keep your ears open at all times and see what you can make of what your partner is saying as well as what he or she is not saying.
Step2
Once you determine what your partner finds to be romantic, you need to narrow the choices down within that category. If you have determined that jewelry is the best romantic gift for your partner, decide how much you want to spend. Then, decide on the type of jewelry for your partner. Try to find something your partner does not already have. Maybe a new watch or ring would do the trick.
Step3
Next, you will need to decide where you will purchase the gift. Perhaps you will find the gift at the mall or in a unique boutique. Try to think of the stores your partner likes to visit when you are deciding where to purchase the romantic gift.
Step4
Now, you are ready to go to the store you have chosen and purchase the gift. You may need to go to one store to find just what you are looking for. Be sure to ask the sales associate in the store for assistance if you need it.
Step5
Once you select and purchase the item, be sure you wrap the gift well. The presentation of the gift is equally as important as the gift itself. If you do not feel you can wrap the gift well, either ask the store to do it for you or a friend who is more skilled at gift wrapping than you.
Step6
Choose the perfect time to give your partner the gift you have chosen. On the way out the door in the morning rush is probably not a good idea. Instead, wait until the environment is calm and peaceful. You may want to put on some soft music.
Step7
Once you present your well chosen, well wrapped gift, be careful: the sparks will start flying!
