(BEFORE ANYONE READS THIS **** I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW, STUYVESANT IS A PIECE OF CRAP FILLED WITH FAGOT-ASS TEACHERS AND SOCIOPATHS AND SUCK UPS WHO ARE ONLY CONCERNED WITH GETTING A GOOD GRADE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS HELL HOLE BECAUSE YOU WILL END UP REGRETTING IT. TOWNSEND HARRIS IS MUCH BETTER AND I SHOULD HAVE GONE THERE. ALSO, IN CASE YOU THINK I'M A LITTLE BASTARD WHO'S UPSET BECAUSE I CAN'T GET GOOD GRADES, THINK AGAIN....) Every year in New York City, every public school student faces a position in which they must decide the next four years of their life. They must decide what specialized high school to attend. Many students dream of attending the greatest of all the specialized high schools, which is Stuyvesant. It is a difficult time for all eight graders and I plan to make it easier. I myself have studied rigorously for some time and have made it into Stuyvesant high school with a score of 677, the highest in my school. This took place in 2007 when I also got accepted to Townsend Harris(I chose Stuy!). So, I guess you can say I might know a thing or two that can help you out.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • A bunch of SHSAT books which can be found in your public library.
  • Pencils
  • Determination
  • Self-Sacrifice

Step1
Go to your public library and check out books that say SSHSAT,SHSAT, or Sci-High on the cover. ( I recommend Arco New York City Specialized High school Admissions Test, Baron's How to Prepare for the New York City SSHSAT: Specialized Science High Schools Admissions Test , and any other KAPLAN book)
Step2
Turn off the television, rarely go on the computer, disconnect any game consoles, lock away any form of entertainment except the television which you should just keep off.
Step3
Do every book at least once from front to back cover(and to all you little eight grade perverts I mean do the problems don't "do" the books....)Study at least four hours a day and at most eight. Watch television only three hours a week. Devote all your time you don't spend for homework to study. Don't waste your time on friends/boyfriends/girlfriends because they WILL DISTRACT YOU. Try to go to a tutorial and if not, make sure you study EVERY DAY at home.
Step4
Study your ass off. Make sure you know how to do each kind of problem. Many tutors will tell you to focus on your strength but it is best to even out your energy on both math and verbal. If you don't understand a problem or need help, e-mail me at theallianceforpurity@yahoo.com. At times it may seem difficult, but never and I mean NEVER give up. If you do EXACTLY what I tell you there is a 99.999875998% chance you'll be going to Stuy. GOOD LUCK!

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want your score to be off the charts like mine (677)when you take a practice test, focus on what you got right, not what you got wrong
  • Don't give up!
  • If your tired, work harder, this will build more self-esteem
  • Don't make your bed a study place, this will make it harder to fall asleep!
  • Make studying your first priority
  • Television is your worst enemy
  • But, keep your enemy close and watch for 3 hours a week
  • Don't give up
  • If you don't understand, study until you do!

I read your article about how to get into Stuyvesant. It's cool that you are willing to give people advice. Well, I have been studying for the test for a while, but now I have 2 months left. How should I be studying now?
