How to Play Discs With the Sony DVP-CX875P CD/DVD Player

The Sony DVP-CX875P CD/DVD Player has the capacity to hold up to 300 discs at a time. Its disc explorer lets the user categorize different music and movie albums or tracks according to, for instance, the genre, favorites, artists or titles. The unit can play different types of discs like DVD-V, DVD-RW, VCD, CD and Data CD. Following are the steps to play discs with the Sony DVP-CX875P CD/DVD Player.

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Switch on the TV.
Step2
Press the power switch of the DVD player. This will start the player and the green light of the power indicator will light up.
Step3
Press the input selector on your TV. The signal from the player will appear on the TV monitor. In case you are using an amplifier (receiver), turn it on and tune the required channel to hear music from the player.
Step4
Select a disc on the player. To do that, press "Disc Change" on remote control and then adjust the dials to select a disc.
Step5
Press the "Play" button to start the selected disc.
Step6
Adjust the volume on the TV or the amplifier as per your needs.
Step7
Press the "Flip" button if you want to play side B.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check the operating instructions supplied with your disc as different discs may have different operations.
  • Switch DTS on in "Audio Setup" if you play a DVD Video with DTS sound tracks.
  • When you press "Flip," a sign with "Flip" appears on the disc explorer on TV except for DVD-RWs.
  • If the DVD video does not have a DTS decoder, do not switch DTS on as it will produce a loud noise that can damage your speakers.
