    • 6

Carry copies of your passport and visa when in Tajikistan. Travelers to Tajikistan should be able to identify themselves at all times. They will be asked to show travel documentation when registering at hotels.

    • 7

Be careful of potential terrorist activities. Due to government instability and its proximity to Afghanistan, bombings and other terrorist action is possible in Tajikistan. At times, restrictions are placed on travel to and from the country.

Step 1 says "see resources below", but there ain't any. Step 1 has a hotlink, but it takes one to a website that is "under construction." It has been under construction of and on for the past 13 years. (This note is written in July 2008.) A Google search for Tajikistan Airlines or Tajik Airlines produces links to many travel websites, but I have not found one that can tell me anything about Tajik Air's schedules, much less book a ticket. Turkish airlines has flights twice a week between Istanbul and Dushanbe, and the schedules are on the Turkish Airlines website.
