Book Your Ticket on Hansung Airlines
-
1
Purchase a Korean-English dictionary or enlist the help of a Korean-speaking friend to help you book the ticket directly through Hansung Airlines's Web site (see Resources below).
-
2
Call Hansung Airlines at 011 (+82) 1599 9090 to attempt a telephone booking. You can also contact the airline by fax at 011 (+82) 043 210 0520 or by email at webmaster@gohansung.com.

3
Book your travel plans through a travel agent to sidestep the language barrier. You'll have to pay an extra fee; but this may be unavoidable. Unfortunately, there's no easy way for English-only speakers to book travel directly with Hansung Airlines.
-
4
Choose to fly from Cheongju, Jeju or Seoul. The airline is based in Cheongju (also called Ch'ongju or Cheong Ju City), but all flights connect at Jeju (also called Cheju). Hansung Airlines mainly functions as a service to and from Jeju City.
-
5
Choose to fly To either Cheongju, Jeju or Seoul. Hansung Airlines does not have a direct flight between Cheongju and Seoul. If you want to travel from Cheongju to Seoul or vice versa, you'd be better off in a car or train. Jeju is an island and both Cheongju and Seoul are inland cities, so flight is the only direct mode of travel between them.

Tips & Warnings
Show up for your departure early and don't pack too much luggage. It's difficult to anticipate exactly what the policies are for Hansung Airlines. You'd be smart to not push the limit. A small issue can be a large one when you don't understand the language.
At the time of writing, Hansung Airlines plans to open a new route to Kagoshima, Japan. Find out of this new route is available.
Hansung Airlines does not have an English Web site. However, contact information can still be found there.
Also look into Jeju Air, South Korea's competing low-cost airline, to compare prices. Jeju Air and Hansung Airlines cover the same routes.
Korean Air and Asiana Air also fly to Jeju from a number of locations. Compare prices with these larger and generally more expensive airlines, just in case. They have Web sites in English. It doesn't hurt to look.
Keep a Korean-English dictionary on hand during the trip.
Hansung is a domestic airline and not so well spread out as Korea's other companies. Don't be surprised if the trip isn't that accommodating to the English-only speaking traveler.
