Booking travel from Slovenia to Switzerland will require 2 train rides. The 4 hour train from Slovenia to Venice, and then the overnight train from Venice to Zurich, Geneva or Lucerne. Although the Eurail covers much of Europe train travel, the route from Slovenia to Switzerland should be purchased independently, as the Eurail does not offer a direct route from Slovenia to Switzerland. Of course, if you are not in a hurry to get from Slovenia to Switzerland, then by all means purchase a Eurail Pass to have wide access to most European countries by train.
