Tips & Warnings
Plan ahead if you do not speak Russian. It's always a good idea to carry your hotel name and phone number with you, in case you get lost and can't ask for directions.
Try and travel as a guest of the local businesses. Rates are cheaper for these travelers by as much as 50 percent.
In phone numbers, all country codes are within parentheses and begin with a "+" sign.
All phone numbers include the United States international prefix "011." When calling internationally outside the United States, check the international prefix before dialing.
Keep your eyes peeled when you go out at night, especially in the tourist areas. Crime makes walking on the street unsafe, so take a cab instead.
