    Book Travel on Alexandair

  1. Step 1

Contact the company by phone at 011 (+30) 21 096 57776. If you're calling from outside the United States, check the international prefix before dialing.

  2. Step 2

Visit the company's Web site (see Resources below) to learn more about its routes and schedules.

  3. Step 3

Plan your summer vacation. Flights depart from Greece to Strasbourg, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Metz, Nantes, Billund, Lyon, Warsaw, Larnaca and Poznan during the summer months.

  4. Step 4

Take a tour around Greece. Alexandair has contracts with different tour operations, and its winter flights will charter to Denmark in coordination with Danish tour operators. Alexandair will also fly to certain places in Europe for other tour operators. The tour operators as well as the destination countries are subject to change.

  5. Step 5

Call to book your company's next conference and travel arrangements. Alexandair will book your conference ad hoc, adding different destinations and rerouting your party as needed. You won't need to plan far in advance when deciding where you want your company's next meeting to be held.

  6. Step 6

Reserve a seat as far in advance as possible. The MD83 and MD84 planes are large (seating 161 people each), but these two planes compose the company's entire fleet.

  7. Step 7

Forgive the airline's past mistakes concerning maintenance. Alexandair just signed a full-service contract with a company called SAS Component, which will be covering all of the airline's technical, heavy and line maintenance.

  8. Step 8

Be flexible when traveling on Alexandair. The airline is based out of Greece's second largest city. However, flights take off from different airports depending on the time of year. Check with the airline to make sure your flight objective will be available.

Tips & Warnings
  • All country telephone calling codes appear in parentheses and begin with a + sign.
  • Alexandair does not offer online booking.
  • Alexandair has passed all of the tests needed to fly. The airline is completely certified and is considered an approved JAR-145 organization.
  • Alexandair travels to smaller regional airports located throughout Greece. Since the airline specializes in smaller destinations, availability will likely be plentiful.
  • If you are superstitious, you will appreciate that there is no thirteenth row on any aircraft.
  • Alexandair has a poor reputation for punctuality because of extensive delays during August 2005. Over 400 people's travels were disrupted when a plane had to be rerouted due to technical problems.
  • Alexandair was once solely a charter company and has been trying to expand into a full-service airline since 2005. They are still getting used to their bigger accommodations and larger number of travelers.
