Air Gabon International replaced the bankrupt Air Gabon, which used to be the national airline, in March of 2006. Thanks to a partnership between the Gabonese government and Royal Air Maroc, Air Gabon International, headquartered at Leon M'ba International Airport in Libreville, hopes to expand service all through the African continent, including Brazzaville, Casablanca, Johannesburg and Luanda, and introduce additional service to Paris, France.

Gabon, unfortunately, is a haven for malaria and other dangerous and contagious diseases. Get all appropriate vaccinations at least one month before you leave on your trip. Also, ask your doctor if you will need malaria pills before you travel here.
