How to Book Travel on Air Ivoire

Currently listed on the United States Department of State's Travel Warning list, travel to the Côte d'Ivoire (often referred to as the Ivory Coast) is to be undertaken with extreme caution. However, the international airport continues to operate normally and flights operated by Air Ivoire from Europe still service this West African country.

Book Travel on Air Ivoire

1. Log on to Air Ivoire's Web site (see Resources below) to review flight schedules to Felix-Houphouet Boigny International Airport in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Note that the site offers an English-language version, but access to this area can be unreliable. There are two flights weekly directly from Orly and one flight which connects through Marseille. Return flights to these two cities are similarly offered.
2. Book your ticket by dialing the company directly at 011 ([phone].
3. Book a ticket on Air Ivoire from Abidjan to limited destinations in the following countries: Ghana, Mali, Guinea, Senegal and other countries within the region.

4. Pack for warm weather when traveling to the Ivory Coast. If you travel June through October, be prepared for wet weather as well.
5. Expect to speak French in Côte d'Ivoire, unless you are familiar with one of the 60 other native dialects spoken here.
