  1. Step 1

    Reserve your seats online using the Egyptian National Railways Web site (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

    Call the Egyptian National Railway's Port Said branch for reservations at 011 (+20) 21 861.

  3. Step 3

    Book your tickets on site at the Alexandria Station. If you choose this option, you may be faced with long lines, especially during the summer months.

  4. Step 4

    Choose to travel via express train. Express trains offer air-conditioned first and second-class seating. Opt for first-class seating for optimum comfort.

    Only one express train departs the Alexandria station daily. It leaves around 4:40 p.m. and arrives in Port Said around 11:10 p.m.
