You can insert up to 200 discs in the Sony DVP-CX850D CD/DVD player. For each one, you can view specific information using the Disc Explorer feature via the player or the remote. Here is how it works.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Load disc contents. Set the remote's TV/Disc Explore/DVD button to "Disc Explorer."
Step2
Press the "Load" button in Stop mode. Alternatively, simply press the "Load" button of the player when it is in Stop mode.
Step3
Loading transfers disc information into the memory. To halt the transfer, press the "Stop" button, which is marked with a black square. It takes almost 30 seconds to load the contents of one disc.
Step4
Press the appropriate folder button to view the Disc Explorer related to that folder. The player supports seven folders: All, DVD, CD, A, B, C and D. By default, the "All" folder stores all discs inserted in the player. Simultaneously, all DVDs are stored in the DVD folder. Similarly, information about all CDs and video CDs is filed in the CD folder. Folders A - D allow users to file discs according to their preference.
Step5
The Disc Explorer also displays information such as jacket picture, text information, genre and disc type. In the absence of some of this information, you can add related content.
Step6
Use the arrow buttons to move from information on one disc to another. Alternatively, press a number button, and then "Enter" to select a disc. On the remote, you can also use "Disc Skip +/-" for disc selection.
Step7
Press "Return" to exit the Disc Explorer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pressing a folder button while a disc is playing shows the Disc Explorer.
