How to Defeat the First Psychopath in Dead Rising, Part 2

Now that you've actually made it to the Food Court--with luck, unscathed--it's time to face your first Psychopath. He should look familiar right off. No wonder this person had a creepy vibe in the beginning! Now, to take the psycho down!

Instructions

1. Run toward the central court once you're able to move. The bullets flying at you won't hurt that much, but they can be painful if you get hit repeatedly.

2. Run to the left side, under the sign the game so graciously pointed out with a zoom shot.

3. Look for three crates stacked on top of each other, and then run behind them.

4. Take a look up at where the shots are coming from. It may be tough, but you should be able to see the psycho in the window on the right.

5. Shoot the psycho when he enters your view! You'll probably be able to put two to four shots into him before he moves, but keep your crosshairs in the same spot; he'll come back.

6. Keep shooting the psycho until he runs around to the rear, on a catwalk above the restaurants. At this point, he should be at around ½ health .

7. Run back underneath the catwalk and wait for him to come around. When he does, move more toward the middle; you'll see his legs between the awnings.

8. Pump his legs full of lead until he runs again. He will return, but watch out! He'll start tossing grenades down at you, two or three at a time. They are easy to dodge and don't have that big of a blast radius, but beware! Getting caught in the blast will put you down for a few seconds and leave you vulnerable to a second blast.

9. Run back to the crates and take as many shots at him as you can. Quite often, you'll find the only part of him sticking out is his head. Go for it!

10. Keep shooting until he buys it. A bittersweet victory, because he just runs away, but at least he's out of your hair for now.
