Step 1
Remain calm to help slow the spread of the spider's venom.
-
Step 2
Cool the area around the area of the bite with an ice pack to help control inflammation. Cover the area with a washcloth and place an ice bag over the washcloth.
-
Step 3
Elevate the bite area, and apply aloe vera to help soothe the pain.
-
Step 4
Seek medical attention if the bite is severe. (Most bites are minor and will heal by themselves.) If the bite is so severe as to lead to necrosis, multiple visits to a physician may be necessary.

on 5/18/2009 Also look on www.naturalnews.com and do search for electrical treatment of bites. It is good article. One on hubpages.com that is not as detailed, but both say it works very well! Worth a look.

on 5/10/2008 If you have any spider bite watch for the signs of infection. Especially watch for red or white streaking from the location of the bite. This is a sign that infection is spreading from the bite. If this happens you need to seek immediate medical attention.
