How to Find and Play Music Files on the iRiver T10 MP3 Player

The iRiver T10 MP3 player has a circular, 4-way rocker control that performs four functions with an additional button in the middle. The names of the buttons will be abbreviated for clarity in these instructions. The top of the rocker is the "Plus" button, the bottom is the "Minus" button, the left is the "Previous" button and right is the "Next" button. The button in the middle of the rocker is the "Menu" button. To find and play music files on the iRiver T10 MP3 player, follow these steps.

  1. Step 1

    The buttons are imprinted with symbols to indicate their functions. The buttons may perform different functions depending on the mode that the player is in.

  2. Step 2

    Ensure that the "Hold Switch" button is released. The "Hold Switch" is on the front right side of the player. Locate the "Play/Stop" button on top of the player and hold it down until the player turns on.

  3. Step 3

    Press the "Menu" button, located in the middle of the circular rocker control, and hold it down for a few seconds to display the Function Mode screen.

  4. Step 4

    Press the "Previous" button or the "Next" button to select Music mode. Press the "Menu" button to enter the Music mode.

  5. Step 5

    Press the "Plus" or "Minus" button to select a music file. You may also use the "Previous" or "Next" button to select folders containing music files. Press the "Menu" button to play the music file.

Tips & Warnings
  • While music is playing, the music volume can be controlled with the "Plus" and "Minus" buttons.
  • Music can be skipped by pressing the "Previous" or "Next" button.
  • Recording quality can be set to high, medium or low. Low is not recommended because the playback quality is very poor.
  • Do not leave the battery in the player for long periods of time, as doing so can lead to corrosion.
