Deleting folders from the iRiver iFP-120/140/180T MP3 Player is very simple. It will only take a few minutes and allows you to get rid of folders you do not need or use anymore. Also, deleting folders gives you more room to add new folders. Follow these steps to delete folders from the iRiver iFP-120/140/180T MP3 Player.

Instructions

Step1
Click the Stop button on your iRiver iFP-120/140/180T MP3 Player. This will stop the playback.
Step2
Press the Navi/Menu button. Pressing this button will make the folders that are already downloaded appear.
Step3
Choose the folder you want to delete. Press the Mode button. After clicking the Mode button, “Folder Delete Are You Sure?” will show up on the iRiver iFP-120/140/180T MP3 Player screen.
Step4
Choose Yes by using the left or right arrow. The folder will be deleted.

Tips & Warnings

  • You have to first delete the files in the folder before you delete the folder. In order to do that, follow steps 1-2 and then click the “Mode” button. After clicking the “Mode” button, File Delete Are You Sure? will show up on the LCD screen. Click “yes” to confirm that you wish to delete that folder.
  • You can only delete an empty folder.
  • Make sure you want to delete the particular folder because once it is deleted, it is gone. It is not saved to an internal or backup memory at all.
