How to Change the Sound Settings on the iRiver Clix MP3 Player

Sometimes you may find that a particular piece of music just does not sound right. This may be because the sound settings on your iRiver Clix are not calibrated perfectly for that particular piece or style of music. Having good sound settings is important because it enables you to make just about anything you play sound good. Follow these steps to change the sound settings on your iRiver Clix MP3 player.

  • iRiver Clix MP3 Player
  1. Step 1

    Select "Settings" in the main menu. The settings menu will appear and you will be given a few options on different ways to change the operation of your iRiver Clix.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the "Sounds" menu. The sounds menu will appear and you will be presented with options concerning EQ levels, 3D screens, and fade-in options.

  3. Step 3

    Select the "Custom EQ" option. You will be presented with numerous options allowing you to dial in specific settings for bass, treble, and presence.

  4. Step 4

    Dial in the settings you desire. This can be done by listening to a piece of music and fooling around with the different options until it sounds the way you like it.

  • What sounds good for one style of music may not sound good for another.
  • Big bass does not always sound good through tiny headphones.
  • If you move the bass way up and neglect to do anything with the treble, your music will sound muddy.
