1. Open iTunes. Double-click on the iTunes icon located on your computer’s desktop.
2. View the preferences window. To do this, click on "Edit" and scroll down to "Preferences" at the bottom of the edit tab. Click on "Preferences" and take a look at the preferences window.
3. Click on the "Playback" tab located at the top of the preferences window. This will allow you to view the playback controls where you can make changes.
4. Change the settings of the playback controls. To change the setting of the "Crossfade Playback" and the "Sound Enhancer" controls, you have to click on the corresponding check box and adjust the cursor.
