How to Listen to Random Songs in iTunes

Listening to random songs in iTunes is a great way to remind you of songs that you may have forgotten about. It is also a good way to entertain guests by using the "Party Shuffle" option. Take the following steps to listen to random songs in iTunes.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • iTunes account
  1. Step 1

    Open iTunes on your computer. Click on the iTunes icon on you desktop.

  2. Step 2

    Select a playlist. Select one from the playlists column or click on "Music" in the library section located on the left side of the iTunes window.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "Shuffle" button at the bottom left corner of the iTunes window. This is located next to the "Create a Playlist" button that is represented by a plus sign (+). The shuffle button is represented by two intertwined arrows.

  4. Step 4

    Use the Party Shuffle option. Click on "Party Shuffle" in the playlists column.

  5. Step 5

    Choose the playlist you would like to use. Click on the "Source" bar at the bottom of the Party Shuffle window and select a playlist.

  6. Step 6

    Play the music. Click on the "Play" button at the top left corner of the iTunes window to start listening to songs at random.

Tips & Warnings
  • To stop random songs in iTunes, click on the "Shuffle" button again or exit the Party Shuffle menu.
  • Keep your audience in mind when choosing a playlist.
