Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Noise Cancelling Headphones are compact and durable headphones that provide a quiet listening environment to users. They reduce the ambient noise in the surroundings and are kinder to the users’ ears. These headphones can be used in two ways; for their noise-cancelling function as well as for listening to audio with noise-reduction facility. For the former, the user only has to switch on the headphones and put them on. In the latter case i.e., if you want to listen to audio with noise-reduction facility, take the following steps:

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Insert the battery in your headphones.

  2. Step 2

    Observe the HI and LO settings of the audio attenuator. These settings are used to regulate the volume of different audio sources.

  3. Step 3

    Make appropriate settings in the audio source that you have to use.

  4. Step 4

    Introduce the audio attenuator into the opening of the left (L) earcup and press it in to fix it to the side of the earcup.

  5. Step 5

    Connect the headphone plug to the jack (3.5mm) of your audio source.

  6. Step 6

    Wear the headphones and adjust the headbands and the earcup cushions so that they fit comfortably around your ears.

  7. Step 7

    Switch on the headphones to start both the noise-cancelling function and audio.

  8. Step 8

    Adjust the volume on your audio device as per your requirements.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use various audio sources with your headphones like MP3, airline audio, CD, DVD, home stereo, a personal or laptop computer.
  • HI and LO settings on the audio attenuator have no effect on the noise-cancelling function.
  • Avoid extreme volumes for extended periods as it may lead to hearing damage.
  • While adjusting the volume, start with a lower volume and then increase it for safer hearing.
