If you book train travel from the capital of mainland China, Beijing, to the city of Guilin, you will see that it is one of the most picturesque cities in mainland China. Guilin's jade-green Lijian River flows past scenic hills, giving visitors an unsurpassed photo opportunity. The climate is pleasant year-round and it has inspired more poems and paintings then any other place in mainland China.
