Type Amtrak's Web address into your Internet browser to get started, or click on the link provided within our 'Resources' section. It will take you to the home page, where you can search for fares, schedules or routes between any two cities.

Enter Miami and Charleston into the search option of your choice. Click on 'station list' to select the correct station, as there is also Amtrak service to Charleston, WV.

Choose the fare and schedule that meets your requirements, then book your ticket by following the directions on the Web site and entering your credit card information in its secure form.

Pack your bags with South Carolina's weather in mind. It will be cooler than Miami in the fall and winter months. You don't want to catch a chill while waiting to retrieve your stowed luggage.
