How to Book Train Travel From Slovakia To Czech Republic

Traveling by train from Slovakia to the Czech Republic can be a treat. If you're into castles and historical buildings, then get a window seat for views of Trencin Castle by night on your way to Czech Republic.

    Book Your Train Travel From Slovakia to Czech Republic

  1. Step 1

    Book your train tickets online via the Rail Europe website (see below) or at the train station. You can incur considerable fines if you don't purchase your ticket prior to boarding.

  2. Step 2

    Specify your ticket type at the train station. If you'd like to travel by InterCity or EuroCity, you will need to specify that at the time of purchase. These two types of trains are considered the most modern and efficient trains available in Eastern Europe.

  3. Step 3

    Buy an Inter-Rail pass prior to traveling from Slovakia to the Czech Republic. To travel in the Czech Republic, you'll need to purchase a 3 Zone or All-Zone pass for unlimited train travel.

    Travel from Krakow, Poland to Prague, Czech Republic in eight hours. Sleep in a couchette for more comfortable travel.

    Go to Prague from Bratislava in five hours. An InterCity or EuroCity train will shave more time off your travel.

    Buy a Flexi-Pass that is good only in the Czech Republic to explore further by train.

    Take the subway from any of the three train stations in Prague.

    Walk to the bus station from the main railway station in Pardubice. It should only take you five minutes.
