Book Your Train Ticket From Berlin to Paris

Go to the Euro Railways Web site (see Resources). Enter "Berlin" and "Paris" from the "Tickets and Schedules" section under the blue menu bar. Select the option for "Berlin/Paris" on the next page. Do not select "Berlin/Disney."

Plan to get some sleep. Because of the long duration, the train is usually a night train. Sleeper cars and couchettes are options during this trip. Choose from one of these or select a second-class passenger seat. Note that discounted fares are available for passengers holding Eurail passes.

Select your departure month, day and time from the drop-down menu. Enter the total number of tickets you need to book. If you need to book additional tickets that are not of the same category, you will have to add these to your cart later.

Continue on to the next page. At this point, you can go back and add more ticket options by selecting the "Continue Shopping" option.

Select your shipping preferences once you're finished shipping. Expedited shipping options are available at an additional cost. Shipping is usually 3 to 4 days from the date of purchase via FedEx. Promotional codes should also be entered at this time.

Register an account to continue booking your ticket. Input your email address and all other obligatory personal information. Enter your credit card number, billing address to finalize your ticket purchase. Print your confirmation email or the confirmation page.

Tips & Warnings
Travel between Berlin and Paris takes approximately 11 hours and 40 minutes on the "night train." Night trains feature dining cars for meals but also offer sleeper cars and couchette options for more comfortable travel. Sleeper cars offer various options for single, double and triple occupancy. Couchettes provide seating for 6 people and are usually quieter and roomier than the second class passenger section.
Make note of the stations that you will depart and arrive at. Both Berlin and Paris have many stations. For your traveling convenience, plan your hotels and transportation around these stations.
Discount traveling is available with Eurail or National and Regional passes. Consider purchasing an Eurail pass to save money on train travel. These allow you to travel between more than 2 countries at a discounted rate from 5 days up to 2 months.

Tickets may be exchanged for up to 7 days before the date of departure. The exchange fee is $15. While refunds are available, they are not applicable to passenger seats and couchettes. Refunds must be requested 3 days prior to departure and require a $15 fee.
There is a $10 handling fee for all tickets for U.S. residents.
