How to Book Train Travel From Cologne to Paris

Cologne, one of Germany's larger cities, is known for its tourism, media and business hotspots. Cologne is situated on the Rhine River, similar to Paris' location on the Seine River. Book a Ticket From Cologne to Paris

Step1
Go to the Euro Railway Web site (see Resources). Input "Cologne," then input "Paris" into the destination box located under the blue menu bar.
Step2
Book your train ticket by selecting from the options given in the ticket chart. Choose a one-way ticket with full fare or a round-trip ticket using a leisure fare. If you have a Eurail pass, select the Passholder option. Options are also available for children, wheelchair-bound passengers, seniors and youth (people under age 26).
Step3
Choose between first or second class seating. Note that only one option can be selected at a time, but you may return later to add other ticket options.
Step4
Select your travel departure day, time and month from the drop down menu. If you elected to book a round-trip ticket, select your return day, time and month. Enter the total number of tickets you are purchasing.
Step5
Select your shipping options and review your shopping cart. Make any corrections necessary. FedEx shipping is free of charge for 3 to 4 days. Opt for expedited shipping for additional fees.
Step6
To finalize your ticket booking, you must create an account. Enter your email address and all of the mandatory personal information to finalize your registration.
Step7
Input all billing information including credit card numbers and billing addresses. Print the subsequent confirmation email that you should receive within minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • The journey from Cologne to Paris takes about 4 hours using the Premier Train service which is usually offered. This service is offered at an additional fee of $7 for the total number of tickets booked. Seat reservation is already included with this service.
  • Orders under $250 are charged a $10 handling fee.
  • Tickets can be exchanged by Euro Railways only and a new ticket must be purchased in order to complete an exchange.
  • Tickets are 100 percent refundable 3 days before the departure date. 2 days before, they are 90 percent refundable.
