      Choose from 3 departures daily which provide direct service between the 2 cities. Note that the arrival stations in Prague may be either the Hlavní nádraží (the central station) or the Holesovice station. Both are conveniently located off the Metro line C route.

      Notice that first class seats are not available on all trains to Prague. Routes without first class seating typically are part of regional train service within Germany and may require as many as 4 transfers before you arrive in Prague.

      Book an ICE or InterCity Express train at the start of your journey to get a fast start, but know that you will have to switch to a slower train along the way. The rails in Prague have not been upgraded to serve the faster ICE trains.

  • Know that Prague is divided into 15 districts. The first Praha or district is the historic center of the city. Here you will find the castle which once served as the home to kings and is now the seat of government for the Czech Republic.
