Find Luxury Accommodations
Step1
Learn what areas of Iran interest you the most. You can find accommodations in a busy city, a desert oasis setting or in the mountains. Contact Irpedia at 011 (+98) 9122008189 or visit the link below to book luxury accommodations in Iran. One landmark hotel to consider is The Abassi Hotel. See the Resources section below for a link to this property.
Step2
Stay in Tehran if you want to be in the center of the action. This city of 14 million people lies at the base of the Alborz mountain range and offers the widest range of luxury accommodations. Seek a hotel on the cosmopolitan section of Valiasr Street to stay close to many of the shopping centers and restaurants that are of interest.
Step3
Discover the marvelous city of Isfahan, which is also called Esfahan. Located in the foothills of the Zagros mountain range, Isfahan resembles the climate and altitude of Denver, Colorado. Isfahan was once the capital of Persia and many historical works of architecture remain intact and in use. For example, you can stay in Abbasi Hotel, a 300-year-old luxury hotel built by King Soltan Hossein in honor of his mother. The building and the grounds are gorgeous.
Step4
Look for luxury accommodations in Kashan, the first oasis along the Qom-Kerman road that traverses Iran's central desert. Kashan features a number of ancient buildings, including the remains of the 7000-year-old Sialk ziggurat. The town attracts many visitors per year as a result of its age.
Prepare for Your Stay
Step1
Secure your flight into Tehran's Mehrabad Airport. The bus system and metro are sufficient to get around the city once you leave the airport; however, taxis are quicker.
Step2
Plan to navigate the country through the use of Iran's very inexpensive domestic bus system or through Raja Passenger Trains.
Get to Know Local Laws and Customs
Step1
Visit a mosque. Some travelers may have a sense of trepidation about exploring Iran's mosques, but Iranians are actually very welcoming to visitors. Just be sure to take off your shoes, put your camera away and ask permission before entering a room.
Step2
Dress respectfully. If you are a female traveler, then this is particularly important in Iran. The dress code requires a woman's arms, legs and face to be covered in public.
