Shared bathrooms are common features of most accommodations in Chisinau. A private bathroom is considered a luxury, so be prepared to pay a premium for it.
2. Snag an apartment. There is a nice selection of short term apartments for rent in Chisinau, which make great accommodations for those planning to stay more than a few days. In an apartment, you will have the luxury of privacy and a standard of cleanliness that most hotels in Chisinau do not offer.
3. Realize that 3-star accommodations may be the best you will find. Chisinau, and Moldova as a whole, does not have what the West would consider luxury accommodations.
