Things You'll Need:
- Computer with internet access.
-
Step 1
To book accommodations, contact Andorra Hoteliers Association at 011 (+376) 86 86 06 or visit the Web site (see Resources below). Decide on which hotel fits your budget. Opt for first class accommodations, or settle for something a bit more inexpensive. Even the reasonably priced hotels may come with a number of amenities you will enjoy.
-
Step 2
Book yourself accommodations in one of the luxury ski resorts if traveling in winter. The gentle slopes of Andorra are good for both well-seasoned skiers and their families.
-
Step 3
While staying in the capital, La Vella Andorra, make sure to visit the Placa del Poble. This square attracts many local residents who come for the view overlooking the valley and the mountains.
-
Step 1
Invest in a dictionary to learn some common phrases in Catalan, the official language of Andorra.
-
Step 2
Plan ahead how you will arrive from the airport to your first stop. As Andorra has no airport of its own, you'll travel from France or Spain.
-
Step 3
Decide if you will be staying in luxury or roughing it. La Vella Andorra offers a wide selection of both first class hotels and first class camping sites. Plan your wardrobe accordingly.
-
Step 1
Plan to do a great deal of spending, as you won't be able to resist the duty-free bargains wherever you go.
-
Step 2
Visit Encamp, home to the National Automobile Museum where you can view cars going back to the 19th century along with many antique bikes and motorcycles. A short walk from the museum will take you to a 12th century church.
-
Step 3
Get around Andorra by taxi, bus or renting a car. Cars can be rented for a few hundred dollars per week. Minibuses will take you anywhere you choose to go in Andorra, including straight into the ski resorts.
