Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A provincial highway map and a City of Toronto map.
  • A computer with Internet access.

    Know Your Destination

  1. Step 1

Ride a characteristic Toronto streetcar to reach your points of interest. Toronto, Canada is a city on the move and you can fit right in. You'll be ready to put your feet up when you arrive back at your hotel.

  2. Step 2

Enjoy the performing arts and galleries of paintings. Toronto is full of artistic people who pride themselves on their work. Toronto's luxury accommodations reflect the same attention to detail and expertise.

  3. Get Around Toronto, Canada

  4. Step 1

Fly into the Toronto Pearson International Airport. Book a room close by. The airport is one of the busiest in the world and can be confusing, but efficient.

  5. Step 2

Rent a car and explore the city at your own pace. You'll be able to check out back streets and neighborhoods that most people miss.

  6. Step 3

Shop in the more than 1,000 underground shops in the subterranean concourses. You will have plenty of time if you choose luxury accommodations nearby.

  7. Find Luxury Accommodations in Toronto, Canada

  8. Step 1

To book accommodations, contact Toronto Convention and Visitors Association at (800) 499-2514 or visit the Web site (see Resources below). See for miles from the top of the CN Tower, the world's tallest building. The tower is within walking distance of many luxury downtown accommodations.

  9. Step 2

Rent a comfortable room right in the Greektown area and enjoy a snack as you shop. Quaint restaurants, ethnic shops and a good view will fill up your day.

  10. Step 3

Plan on booking a downtown hotel. From late November until after Christmas, the Cavalcade of Lights, which includes the city's official Christmas tree, live musicals and over a hundred thousand Christmas lights, makes the Nathan Philips Square a lively place.

  11. Step 4

Find a luxury hotel in Koreatown and try a walnut cake, a local favorite. Walk to the shops and restaurants from your hotel for an enlightening stroll.

  12. Step 5

Choose from luxury accommodations located in 'Little India' on Gerrard Street East. This section of the city doesn't look like any other place else in Canada. Don't go back to the hotel without trying the savory tandoori chicken or a dish of masala dosai.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stop by an eatery in the neighborhood known as 'Little Italy.' The area isn't distinctly Italian, but has been influenced by immigrants who brought with them the recipes passed down for generations.
