With a population of nearly 60,000, Mbabane is the administrative capital of Swaziland, a tiny, landlocked country about the size of New Jersey sandwiched between South Africa and Mozambique. Blessed with a varied topography and considerable mineral wealth, Swaziland enjoys economic success but is devastated by the HIV/AIDS crisis. Life expectancy is a scant 32 years. Still, the country draws visitors for business purposes and for viewing the exotic wildlife in its game reserves. English is an official language and widely spoken.

Step5
Consider finding a hotel along the corridor between Matsapha International Airport in Manzini and Mbabane; this is the area where you're most likely to find standard Western-style hotels offering cheap accommodations. There are few hotels in Mbabane itself.
