Managua is the capital city of Nicaragua, and, with a population of over 1.3 million, one of the largest cities in Central America. The city sits on the southern shore of Lake Managua, which helps keep temperatures cool and moderate year-round considering the city's semi-tropical location. Rich in history, culture and natural beauty, Managua attracts thousands of visitors yearly and has made great strides in creating a visitor-friendly environment.

Find Cheap Accommodations in Managua, Nicaragua

Step1
Look to Managua's newer chain hotels in the downtown business district for the amenities with which Western travelers are most familiar. Rates are comparatively reasonable (mostly under $100 per night) even in these facilities.
Step2
Find cheap accommodations in hotels at least several blocks from the lake shore; waterfront hotels tend to be the priciest.
Step3
Explore booking your transportation and lodging from a vacation packaging agency. Accommodations are often cheaper when paid for as part of a package and these agencies deal mainly with the better-known, Western-style hotels.
Step4
Consider one of the many guesthouses located near Managua International Airport. These houses are privately operated, relatively cheap and known for their cleanliness, safety and convenient location.

on 10/9/2008 Obtain a visa good.... That is a over-killed statment and waste of your money - As a tourist in Nicaragua you don't need this extra visam since Nicaraguan Custom stamped your passport for 90(Ninety)days as a defualt - I am 100 percent sure of this action.
