Things You'll Need:
- A computer with Internet access for making reservations
-
Step 1
Look to Managua's newer chain hotels in the downtown business district for the amenities with which Western travelers are most familiar. Rates are comparatively reasonable (mostly under $100 per night) even in these facilities.
-
Step 2
Find cheap accommodations in hotels at least several blocks from the lake shore; waterfront hotels tend to be the priciest.
-
Step 3
Explore booking your transportation and lodging from a vacation packaging agency. Accommodations are often cheaper when paid for as part of a package and these agencies deal mainly with the better-known, Western-style hotels.
-
Step 4
Consider one of the many guesthouses located near Managua International Airport. These houses are privately operated, relatively cheap and known for their cleanliness, safety and convenient location.
-
Step 1
Book a flight to Managua International Airport via one of the many international carriers that service the city. Managua's airport is but a few miles from the downtown business district and cabs, rental cars and shuttles are all readily available.
-
Step 2
Consider driving to Managua; the city is a stop on the Pan-American Highway which runs north/south through the Americas. This roadway is considered reliable and safe, but the same cannot be said of other roads in Nicaragua.

on 10/9/2008 Obtain a visa good.... That is a over-killed statment and waste of your money - As a tourist in Nicaragua you don't need this extra visam since Nicaraguan Custom stamped your passport for 90(Ninety)days as a defualt - I am 100 percent sure of this action.
