      Turn on your computer and load iTunes. It is best to close out any other applications to make sure the program can run correctly.

      Click the File tab in the toolbar at the top of iTunes. Select Import. Pressing Crtl, Shift and O at the same time will also work to select Import.

      View the Import window that will pop up. Go through your files and locate the exported playlist files you wish to restore.

      Choose and open the selected playlists. Usually these are located on your desktop.

      Repeat the previous steps for any other playlists you wish to restore. These should appear on your iTunes side panel under Playlists once they have been restored.

Tips & Warnings

  • On-The-Go playlists, created with just your iPod, can also be restored if they were uploaded.

  • If you use an illegal downloading program and delete songs off of the program, your playlist will not be fully restored.
